The purpose of this assignment is to provide students an opportunity to apply research definitions of a creative organization to real life examples.
Assignment Steps
Identify and discuss several global creative organizations using the criteria and descriptions in Ch. 10 and 11 of Mastering Leadership.
Include the strategic opportunities for change the organizations have. Each member must post at least two substantive comments (minimum 350 words each) to the learning team discussion area:
• Discuss why those organizations could be considered as creative.
• Explore alternative views.
• Post two substantive comments from each team member in this discussion.
Note: Grades are awarded based upon individual contributions to the Learning Team assignment. Each Learning Team member receives a grade based upon his/her contributions to the team assignment. Not all students may receive the same grade for the team assignment.

Creative Organizations and Strategic Change

Summary of Team Discussion When examining creative organizations there are many different factors that set them apart from others. Organizations must consistently engage customers or clients and keep them coming back. Creativity comes in forms of marketing, production, relationships, and many other forms. Organizations cannot evolve without creativity, and without creative leadership. In this summary, we will look at multiple different organizations and what actually makes them unique in the way they operate and also their business culture beliefs. Utilizing creativity differently allows each individual organization to prosper in different ways and allows them to capture the market. In the current business environment, it is becoming a necessity for organizations to be creative in their market in order to be successful. Comparing the creativity methods of different organizations gives us an idea of the many ways organizations can utilize creativity, creative leadership and consistently evolve and grow. After discussing different organizations Team E is able to better understand organizational creativity and how to utilize creative leadership. Creative Organizations The organizations that were discussed amongst Learning Team E consisted of Amazon, Toyota, Starbucks, and Google. Each organization was deemed a global creative organization for their own unique reasons, based on their practices, their visions, and their innovations. For instance, Amazon has a very clear company model and vision, which keeps them on track while trying to make their customers’ shopping experiences completely effortless. Then, Toyota is one of the top organizations in the world because of their ability to continually foster innovation, environmental sustainability, and even touching in the robot industry. Next, Starbucks has grown to a leader in the coffee business by incorporating concepts of growth and change, experimentation, continued and aggressive marketing strategies to include social media, and an

Finally, Google prides itself and contributes its success to continuous innovation and extraordinary management practices. As Learning Team E discussed and agreed that Amazon, Toyota, Starbucks, and Google are all global creative organizations, most of the discussion was centered around Starbucks. Although Starbucks is a creative and innovative organization, there was an alternate view amongst Learning Team E, suggesting the Starbucks may have the abi.l……………..
